An avid risk taker, Ankit has an eclectic background across technology, finance and entrepreneurship.
Ankit graduated with a degree in electronics engineering from the University of Mumbai and has cleared all 3 levels of the CFA. After graduating from college he was recruited at Deloitte Consulting where he had his first encounter with technology. Having implemented multiple tech solutions & ERPs across Fortune 500 financial institutions, he was naturally drawn to the field of finance and found his way into equity research at JP Morgan covering insurance and healthcare sectors for the APAC region.
Always a problem solver and entrepreneur at heart, Ankit finally took the plunge in 2015 and co-founded his first venture, Grabstr Technologies. Grabstr was an app-based local discovery platform that helped local businesses market their services and users find new opportunities around them. Ankit headed business development and finance at Grabstr and learnt the art of sales the good old fashioned way – knocking from door-to-door.
After Grabstr ran its course, he took the skills he learnt and went on to co-found The Superfood Co., retailing healthy snacks. Ankit helped scale the business for 1.5 years heading sales and business development with reach all across Mumbai and parts of Western India. After exiting the company in 2018, he drew on his entrepreneurial experience and passion for investing and landed in the VC world.
Drawing from his background and experience, Ankit loves spending time around new ideas and passionate entrepreneurs. His day is split between working with portfolio companies, discovering new ideas and financially analysing prospective startups.
